There are no quotes. There are no stats, cast listings, or images for this one. It’s a simple bit of news, and it’ll take up a simple bit of space. Yes, folks, they are making a XXX 4. That’s right. They are making a sequel to the sequel to the sequel of that film made way back when in 2002 Vin Deisel was actually kind of cool and not just some bald bitch pushing fifty.

Now, I thought the original XXX was a lot of fun. Diesel doing Diesel things, like parachute jumping cars off cliffs and what not. The music and the atmosphere to me were the best reasons to watch the original, though. I loved how they interwove some Moby in there just when you didn’t think it was possible the film could actually surprise you any longer, and no, it doesn’t really surprise the audience much.

Then Diesel said uh-uh, I don’t want anymore XXX and made another movie. I don’t recall which. And they hired that black guy Ice Cube, Or Ice T, Or Ice Cube Tray. I don’t know which and I don’t care. I know they made that one and I didn’t even watch it but once, just to see if it was any better or worse than the original, knowing full-on what to fucking expect. It sucked, although I don’t recall why. Something to do with sucking, I think. Really, the guy they hired looked like an angry ape. And Jackson lent his name and image to it. What a shame on both accounts.

And so they made yet another one, which I haven’t seen. Why did they make it? Money of course. Vin Deisel is hot property right now in Fast and the Furious, so making an action movie with him in it, any action  movie at all, isn’t such a stupid move after all.

So thanks to XXX III doing about 165 million in China, we get another one of these pieces of shit, produced by what is called The H Collective. What’s the H Collective, you ask? I’ll quote, instead of explaining it in my own words:

As reported by THR , franchise producers Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum have partnered with Sid Ganis and Mark Johnson to form self-financing production outfit The H Collective. Their first announced projects as a group is headlined by xXx 4, which will be produced by at least Roth, Kirschenbaum and presumably Diesel. Other films being produced under The H Collective include the action/comedy Three Sisters from Wanted  director Timur Bekmambetov (and starring Return of Xander Cage’s Ruby Rose), as well as the already-completed Aaron Paul drama The Parts You Lose. The producers will be focusing on family comedy, horror, and action/adventure, with the xXx series as their marquee franchise in the early going.

Chew on that, folks. Another wanna be studio like bunch of assholes making franchises of shit no on ordered. Yeah.
