Tom Holland hasn’t even debuted the new and improved Spider-man but he already has his sights set on a few other roles he’d like to tackle in the near future. A little more than a month before Spider-man-Man: Homecoming debuts, the actor reveals the roles he loved the most to play. In the new issue of Interview  magazine, Holland was asked by co-star Zendaya about his career goals moving forward. He replied that he would like to be a director in twenty years, and Academy Award-winning actor in ten, and he would also like love to play James Bond and Batman.

During the same interview, Holland revealed his difficult audition process for Spider-man Homecoming:

“That process was five months. I did eight auditions. I did five self-tapes, and then a screen test with Robert Downey Jr. and a screen test with Chris Evans. In the screen test with Robert Downey Jr., they brought me into the room and I met him. I was so nervous. In my head, I thought, ‘Wow, you look really weird in person. You don’t look like you do onscreen.’ I found out later that I met his stand-in.”

My take: dude has goals, so good for him, but some of them might be a bit of a stretch, like playing James Bond or Batman. Bond maybe, if he’s tall enough, perhaps, but Batman? A British sounding Batman? Sure, Bale did it, and he’s not American, but he can affect a proper American accent. As for directing, he can do that tomorrow, actually, once his name gains some traction anyway. First things first. Don’t suck at Spider-man. Oops?
