As filming on the new Stranger Things season two has now completed , questions surrounding the nature of the new monster or monsters have begun swirling. Apparently the new take is a much more subdued one compared to the balls to the wall depiction of season one. The Duffer brothers had this to say about the state of the new monsters set to soon appear:
“The point is not to give everyone what they think they want. Because I don’t think they really know what they want. Hiding the monsters can be more effective than seeing them, so restraint can be a good thing. I can’t talk too much about them, but they’re cool.”
Unfortunately, the next chapter in the fantasy franchise will not include the return of fan favorite character Barb, as Matt explained:
“There’s no resurrecting Barb. It was really surprising how much she took off. I related to her, so I think other people did as well.”
My take: however they depict the new monsters, on thing they had better do: resolve the slug thing that Byers upchucked. Looking forward to seeing all the cast reunite, as well, for all new season of 80s coolness.
