Filming has finished on Shane Black’s greatly anticipated reboot of the 1987 classic Predator, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The original film spawned a number of sequels, including one with Danny Glover, and two Alien joint films. Something of a reboot was attempted with Predators in 2010. but failed to gain either much traction at the box office or with critics, losing on ration of $52million earned versus $40million production budget.

Interest rides high on this actual reboot this time because Black initiated his career with the first Predator, moving on to such other successful films as The Nice Guys and Iron Man 3, not to mention the much-acclaimed and imitated Lethal Weapon. Now, after fifteen weeks of principle photography, Predator is ready for the CGI/post-production treatment, as can be seen from co-star Tremblay’s tweet:

The Predator reboot heads into theaters August 3, 2018, moved from a less lucrative winter release date.
