Looks like those pesky Sense8 fans won’t take no for an answer, just like they won’t take the biological fact of two genders for an answer, either. First the show was mercifully cancelled, after a two season run, cancelled because, in short, Netflix refused to order more episodes. Why? Small audience. Expensive shows. Put those two together and you get CANCELLED all over the sound stage. Now the losers have started a new petition with the politically-connected change.org website to bring the show back. Here’s what the petition looks like, in part:
“The cancellation of Sense 8 – season 3 has been completely unexpected. We don’t know any reasons yet, however it’s quite strange that a show that has received such positive response from a wide and heterogeneous audience, gets cancelled.
Being fans of the series, we would like to know a valid explanation, arguing why “Sense 8″ has been cancelled. We believe it is necessary that tv shows and movies which, from its content, provide the world with a message of love, diversity and respect. All these values have been brought to life by the characters of the show, and the message it has is extremely important for society.
We understand whatever the reasons could have been, yet we believe that as a visual product, Sense 8 does have all these values we recognize, and has perfectly managed to trasmit it to the viewers. It is not just a tv show, to watch for fun, instead of just being that, Sense 8 has given the world a new way of seeing others: with acceptance, love and understanding.”
I’m just cracking it up over this petition, for all the obvious reasons. First, it’s hardly an actual petition as it doesn’t read like one. It instead reads like a gay manifesto from a despondent trangendered beauty queen. People like this are one of the reasons I hate people. Just let it go. You lost. It’s over. Find a new show or go kill yourself. Really doesn’t matter to me. Second, and finally, they were told why, they just refuse to accept the reason like little children that refuse to do what mommy and daddy tell them to do. Grow up already and accept that life isn’t fair and you don’t always get what you want.
