With Wonder Woman in theaters, and people thrilled with Gal Gadot’s performance as the titular Themysciran, a lot of viewers have taken the time to examine the film for intentional and unintentional Easter eggs. One such reveal has now come to light in the form of Snack Snyder posing in a photograph as a World War I soldier.

This isn’t the first time Snyder has posed as a soldier for his films. In Dawn of the Dead he was a soldier patrolling the White House, and in 2009’s The Watchmen, he appeared as a soldier working under the purview of The Comedian inside the embattled nation of Vietnam.

Zack Snyder took to Vero to reveal his Wonder Woman cameo.

“In the trenches with Wonder Woman.”

In the black and white photo, Snyder is seen in his full battle garb complete with a Brodie helmet and a long firearm while striking a pose for the camera in a war-torn looking backdrop. You can see it below:

My take: every wannabe director since Alfred Hitchcock has done the same thing, and Zack Snyder is no different, apparently. But only one man did it with style, grace and humor, and that guy made truly good movies. That guy ain’t Zack Snyder.
