Pardon me, as this is commentary and not exactly a proper news reveal, per se, but perhaps because she’s a fucking bitch, maybe? Why did Superman have to kill Zod with a neck-break? Because that’s how DC desperately sets itself apart from Marvel? Here’s what Jenkins says:
“I always think of it like putting a wounded animal down. It’s like there’s something very maternal [about] Wonder Woman, when push comes to shove if nobody else wants to do it, Wonder Woman would step up and take care of business. But she doesn’t want to do it, and she would never take any delight in it. That’s Wonder Woman to me.”
Or it could be that murdering a bunch of men in a feminist rage strikes Patty as the proper way for Diana, the ultimate warrior female, to vent her anger, frustration, and grievances. On the other hand, Jenkins seems to believe it’s maternal for Wonder Woman, who can dodge bullets and NOT kill on a whim, to murder out of some kind of misguided nurturing instinct. Sounds insane to me, but then I’m not a woman.
Wonder Woman is open wide in theaters, currently.
