1970’s Wonder Woman icon Lynda Carter wanted a cameo role in Patty Jenkins’ box office blast Wonder Woman but was unable to do so. Jenkins has this to say regarding the failure to secure carter for a small in role:
Oh we tried, tried, tried. And we won’t stop trying. https://t.co/Zvla4SVfdM

Lynda Carter spoke last October to Variety about the missed opportunity, saying that there were initial talks about her coming in to shoot some scenes with Jenkins. However, at that point, she was also doing other projects that she has previously committed to.
“I’ve spoken to [director] Patty Jenkins. She talked to me on the phone about the character, and we were trying to see if I could do something with the movie, but it didn’t work out. The timing was off, and I was doing other things and couldn’t get over to where they were shooting.”
Regardless, that hasn’t stopped the two from collaborating on a role in the second Wonder Woman film.
My take: I don’t really care as I’m not a chick or a cuck, but if Lynda Carter wants a small role in Wonder Woman 2, I say give it to her: She did it first and best, after all.
