A brand new television spot for Spider-man Homecoming hit the webs today, featuring lots of new shots and some cleaner angles on the action that the film will serve up come early next month. Check it out below:

Sysnopsis: The events of Homecoming picks up after Peter’s initial encounter with the rest of the superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in Captain America: Civil War. Gifted with an upgraded suit by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), the Queens native gets eager to be a big shot superhero like the Avengers. But he gets frustrated when he feels that Stark is relegating him to small-time crime missions. He becomes more determined to prove himself to his new mentor, as he takes on the Vulture (Michael Keaton) — an illegal black market dealer who builds powerful weapons from the scraps of Avengers battles.

My take: looks cool, I guess, and the addition of Tony Stark doesn’t hurt. Micheal Keaton as the villain is sure to play well opposite Spider-man. I just have bad reactions to these films thanks to the third Raimi flick and the last two Amazing Spider-man films. Marvel’s involvement should quell my uneasiness, but it hasn’t. I guess bashing Spider-man, thanks to Andrew Garfield’s terrible flicks, has become rote and knee-jerk at this juncture.
