I hate doing these kind of articles because there’s nothing to say, honestly. Really, why do YOU think he extended his contract with Marvel? To make more movies? Sure, but what else? To make more money! What else does Evans have going on? He’s relatively young and has really nothing beyond playing Captain America. Even Ryan Reynolds seems to do better than Evans outside the comic book box office. But fans speculate endlessly, as if it’s all a mystery. MONEY! More money, all god of everything! There’s no speculation, people, no mystery. Regardless:

Telegraph spoke with Evans about his future in the MCU, and the actor opened up about why he decided to extend his contract beyond Infinity War to Avengers 4.

“I had six films in my Marvel contract, so I could have said after the third Avengers I was done, but they wanted to make the third and fourth Avengers films as a two-parter. They said they had so many other characters to fit in – Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Ant Man – and couldn’t get them all into one movie.”

He went on to say that the core reason he decided to extend his contract is “because it made sense. It’s going to wrap everything up.

Uh huh, Because Evans really cares whether he or someone else plays the character. Like they can’t kill off Rogers and give the world a new gay, black, transgendered female Captain America, and wouldn’t most people applaud that? Maybe, just maybe Evans is a completionist, and he feels compelled to ride out his character till the end, to give it a proper birth-life-death arc, and if so, I applaud him, but I just don’t think that’s REALLY what it’s all about.
