Another day, another news story about nothing. This one is about Edgar Wright, who spent a decade, supposedly, working with Marvel Studios in making an Ant Man movie, only to get kicked to the curb when Marvel realized Wright was making a movie in his own image and not that of the committee that writes these pieces of trash superhero films.

Ahem.

So it may not come as a surprise that Edgar Wright has never seen Marvel’s Ant-Man.

Speaking with Uproxx about his new film Baby Driver , Wright admitted he not only hasn’t seen Ant-Man, but hasn’t even watched the trailer.

“I haven’t seen it and I haven’t even seen the trailer…The closest I came to it was that somebody sitting near me on a flight was watching it. And when I saw that the person sitting next to me was going to watch the movie, I thought, hmm, maybe I’m going to do some work on my laptop.”

Well good for him, I guess. Or something. Because I wouldn’t watch it either knowing how I had been deliberately mistreated by Marvel Studios. And for what? Having a vision? Having the audacity to make a movie according to your mind and heart and not via an industry checklist of whatever bullshit Marvel uses to automate the writing of one of their greenlit turds?
