Looks like some heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe won’t return after Infinity War wraps up in a few years. Who might that mean? Captain America? Iron Man? Kevin Feige seems to think so, or at least hints in that direction. He was asked if some of the current MCU roster heroes might not return after Infinity War, he simply answered “yes”, but when asked specifically if they had future plans for their two biggest characters – Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans) – after Avengers 4, Feige said:

We have another two years of hard work to even finish these movies, and they [the actors] have a lot of hard work to do, so that’s all we’re thinking about, is completing those and delivering on the promise of those. Where it goes beyond that, we’ll see.

So there you have it. Even Feige apparently only knows that some of the current MCU roster will not return after battling Thanos, but whether that will include the heavy lifters or the lesser known characters, such as Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye or Black Widow, who knows for sure? Feige certainly isn’t spilling all the beans at this point, so to speak.
